  • Become familiar with Computerised Payroll:  This is where the knowledge and techniques of manual payroll are applied to the popular payroll software, Sage MicroPay
  • Budget summary: the courseware includes information from the latest budget and any updates affecting tax credits, tax rates, tax bands as well as PRSI and health contributions.

This course is for those who wish to gain knowledge to work in Desktop Publishing with Microsoft Publisher which is part of the Microsoft Office suite and is used to produce professional-looking publications.   With layouts and templates in Publisher it is easy to create brochures, newsletters, websites, catalogues, flyers, signs, postcards, invitations, greetings & business cards, letterheads, business forms, banners, envelopes, calendars, certificates and menus. 

Candidates who complete this course will be able to:

  • Identify what publications are required in the workplace/organisation
  • Design, plan and prepare appropriate publication documents to meet identified needs
  • Critique the layout of printed publications, considering design, style and harmony
  • Understand the principles of preparing publications and apply these in the documents
